拐帯・かいたい・defraud, abscond, swindle
“hand” and originally a variant of “bone” (i.e. what is on left of 別) also with phonetic meaning of bend etc – so originally meant bend ones arm around something to acquire it in a furtive or illegal manner, hence began to mean kidnap or deceive. Remember “cut hand and mouth in kidnap”.
